haha i didnt get chance to really push them yet. i have to rebuild my trust in the car and its grip levels cause they are much better then the ad07s i had on it. Driving to the office this morning i took my usual back route through some tight roundabouts and the tyres were really hooking up nicely with quick flicks of the wheel. i reckon i could have gone a lot quicker through but once again, have to rebuild confidence in the car.

im going to wollongong this weekend so i might have a quick blast through the nasho, weather and coppers permitting.

              Steel
              they are 205/45/16 RE 11
              not RE 02 or 002
the RE02 or whatever is made in Asia supposed to be the same
blub says is same compound as Japanese manufactured
but................. I personally only ever use Japanese manufactured.

Taleb has 20 or so on order (but half of them are mine.)

Had a look at the Yokohama AD07's at Talebs the other day.
They are 08 build but have been stored well and feel soft to my durometer.

They are much softer than the AD07's we had on or cars.

                Lovecolt how are they going.

I am getting some 16 x 7 rims and I will test them soon if no one else does..

Maybe something else also for 16x7's soon. Maybe.

                    Macca,
I always try to keep some stock at home,
otherwise when you need them, there aren't any in Australia.
                    Lesson learned long ago.
Then you will have to use something you don't want.
And then, when what you wanted is available, you have only just fitted something else.

                    I had 8 RE11's.
                    4 on car are 50%
I got big nail through one of them after only a few weeks.
                    2 fronts were replaced.
So that only leaves 1 unused left.
So I wait for the next batch.

                    As for the AD07's.
You know I didn't like them that much,
but in hindsight............I always wondered why they got good reports but the ones on my cars
                    were.....hhumm.. good, but not fantastic.
I bought the Red Rcolt in mid 06 but the other two in early 07. I bought all my Rcolts new so they weren't used when I got them.
All the Recaro Rcolt, that is the 06 model were all built at the same time and just sat around until
someone bought them or at best maybe 2 batches came to Australia.
The fitted AD07's would have been 06 manufactured or earlier and would have sat on the cars in the weather for a year or 2 in some cases, before the were sold.
I wrote something before about how tyres fitted on rims seemed to go off with age even though they weren't used, whereas tyres from the same batch that I had stored were OK and worked years later.
Infact my friend won the Australian Motorkhana Champoinship with some old unused tyres I had.
Anyway the AD07's at Talebs are softer than the AD07's that were on my cars.

I am trying to get some 16x7 rims (that I like) and then I will try the 225/45/16 AD07's myself.

Yes Matt, the RE 11's were the tyres on my car when we went for a run through Broughton Pass.
