Hi,newbie here...care to share what is the difference between ATC and ASC.
ATC is to assist in launching(prevent wheel spin) while ASC is to assist in cornering?
and 0.9 bar max boost means in stock or still need abit of tuning to achieve that?otherwise, how much is the stock boost?
sorry if these questions are posted here before...but i still have doubts...
i had seen some dyno and get 0.8bar but drop to 0.6bar...iam confuse in this aspect...btw,teh stock turbo start spooling from how many rpm and stop at how much rpm?
sorry for so many questions asked...iam currently still waiting for my Rcolt to arrived...cheers...

I think what you just described on ATC & ASC is pretty spot on. But ATC isn't for launching, but more for poor grip condition.

0.9 bar max boost is its stock max boost. However, we normally only get 0.8 bar max. The additional 0.1 bar is its boost spike allowance.

Boost starts around 3000 rpm. But it starts dropping to the lower bar around 4 - 4.5k rpm.

Feel free to ask any other questions. I guess you are from Singapore ya?

        yeah,iam from singapore...
so after 4.5k it will be Mivec in action?
if so,the peak power is at 6k rpm which means its the work of the Mivec instead of the turbo...the turbo only helps in the early torque???
any idea how much boost can the stock engine take up to?
thanks for your helpfullness, this is one cool forum...cheers...

Well, when mivec kicks in, that's the time when our max boost drops to around 0.5 to 0.6 bar and it will stay that way till redline. Hence, its really mivec and low boost turbo for the last 1/3 of the powerband.

As for how much boost it can take??? i doubt no one knows as there isn't even any highly modded example in Jap.

No problem with helping out. Do come back to the forum often

so it will be Mivec turbo just like Vtec turbo...haha...
even though i did not post here,i will be reading the informations here...
but the downside is that it redline at pretty early,if only it could go longer....

Actually, the downside is really the lowered boost after the mivec kicks in. Otherwise, i don't mind the 6.5k rpm redline.

I think it should be: MIVEC let the engine perform better on high rev.
The engine can digest more air than the turbo can supply. That's why it is only on 0.5bar. If we remove the MIVEC, boost may climb up abit... but it may produce less power.

Can anyone confirm if European Colt CZT's and Japan - Aus Colt Ralliart-R share the same transmission? European CZT also uses Getrag transmission. I will try to get some part numbers!
It would be nice to have the Cusco LSD possibility!!

I'm not sure about CZT, but Version R definitely gets Getrag 5 spd transmission.

Have no idea as part numbers are not included in my workshop manual. I guess only if someone ever get the turbo out, or else it will still be a mystery for all

That i would have no idea, unless its imprinted on the gearbox itself. Maybe will check out next time when its put on hoist.
