  • ECUTEK or Piggyback

    Hey Guys,

still new to 4G15 engine modification, can i check whether our engine should go for Ecutek tuning or Piggyback? (E-Manage Ultimate).

    Thanks in advance!

ECUFlash tuning FTW. (OpenSource = Free)
ECUTek I believe is not compatible with our ECU... I could be wrong though. Also the tunes are "locked" so it can't be modified by anyone other than an ECUTek partner.
Piggyback has it's advantages, but it ultimately comes down to your goals.
The stock ECU will handle majority of mods. Would easily see you push it to the point of popping it.
I dare say you could double your power on stock ECU with supporting mods. However the engine would die before then, things are known to go bad around 160kwatw.

I'd be hesitant to go ecutek as they lock your ecu. As you're in SG try contacting Kai via xkaix1991@gmail.com. He has worked on many rcolt ecu types & is very knowledgeable.

In AU we are spoilt to have a community open flash.. Ecutek works with JDM or CZT i believe. Just not AU Rcolts. But still, avoid for JDM/CZT colts unless you have a trusted ecutek tuner.
