Just thought I'd start a thread for those who indulge in things other than just driving around in their Rcolt all day!

As you may have guessed by my user name I'm a bit of a star wars freak and collector - loved it ever since I went to the cinema as a kid and saw it, there was nothing else remotely like it back in the 70's. Some items have been bought , some have been made up by myself including the stormtrooper rifle in the 4th pic. Of course EBAY is like a second friend to me and is where I do most of my collecting and it keeps me out of trouble most of the time! Enjoy!:D

I enjoy photography and a good game of golf. Both of which I suck at but still enjoy doing as a past time. I've also a strong interest in technology and gadgets. I am a freak and have earned the nickname 'gadget-boy' among my friends.

my hobby besides cars etc is photography also. for 14 months I lived in wagga wagga (NSW) under training doing an avionics course, so I had to sell all of my camera gear ($4000ish worth). I am hoping to buy a camera in the next 12 months, I just need to save up the $$$ again to buy the kit I want. for those wondering, I had a canon EOS 30D.

see attached pictures for random samples of some of my stuff

I guess I have been collecting since I opened up my first luke skywalker doll at 6-7 years old! Never quite got over it until started earning some proper money, then I really started, and no I don't go running around my house chasing after rebels with my sabers and darth helmet!:p

Then again!

lol, yes I couldn't stop laughing when I first saw that many moons ago, I can categorically say that doofus is not me - he's just trying to copy me!:p

I used to be into the car audio scene, but eventually a gave up the doof-doof to age gracefully, espcially when I had my Suzuki Gti raided by w#nker thieves who ripped the stereo and speaker out using a crow bar, they also cut the main wiring loom behind the dash and stole my momo steering wheel.(had to get dad to bring my original steering wheel into town at 4.00am so I could actually get home!) I had only bought a whole lot of gear from a car stereo place earlier that day - someone knew or saw me there! Its been small installs since then!

Also play with RC Helicopters when I find some time (usually never) and building Movie Models ie Predator,Aliens and such. Will include some model photos soon. Trying to finish a Rcolt custom model with front intercooler and Recaros seats but just not getting much time.

I got into the detailing addiction...spent like a few hundred bucks, tried Meguairs, Mothers, Natty's Poorboy, etc. until some a##$*(# broke into my apartments storage (Docklands, Victoria) and stole my whole lot which I incidentally left there for one night.

Now I am so broke I have to borrow my mates car detailing products to get my car detailed :(

To the thief...please detail you car and return them to me :( I promise I won't report you.

Actualy that aint half of em. I've been doing this since 2000. Have'nt decapitated anyone, but once my dog (in the photo) got in the way of a small heli (650mm diameter rotor) that I was testing in the back yard. The rotor hit her right on the head at over 2000 RPM. I almost had a heart attack, the heli crahsed, she ran off yelping, when I caught up to her she was fine no cuts or anything, just scared as hell. Poor bugger, she's got a real tough little coconut. She won't go anywhere near one now thankfully.

This is just another one of my hobbies, retro-fitting & doing up electric guitars! These are two Brian May replica guitars (from Queen), that I bought from the US as Korean copies. Since I was a kid I've always wanted one of these guitars, but they sell for over $4000 for the official replica guitars! Easily fixed, build one yourself!

Usually the guitar bodies and necks are great but the hardware leaves a lot to be desired. I purchase bits & pieces from all over the world to try and get them as close to the actual original items as possible.

The one on the left is a copy of his original red special used for 'Bohemian Rhapsody' & other early songs, and the one on the right is a rendition the model that guitar maker Guild built for him, and is used on songs such as 'One Vision'. I have yet to make another pickguard for the latter one as the current one is inaccurate - sorry about the dark pics. :)
