For those red Rcolts out there, I've always wondered what the standard colts rims would look like with a white paint job (professional), versus the standard silver. Could be a relatively cheap mod for quite a different look, especially if the vehicle had been lowered ?? Anyone else thought of doing this or have had this done?

From my imagination, i would say its a bad idea. Reason been is, our stock rims' spikes are too thick.

Or that i might see if i can even photoshop it. Will do it tommorrow when i get home

Just some quick tips, I have painted my Magna wheels (enkei's) as there were silver and boring, I didnt want to throw away Enkei wheels so I have painted them, after doing this twice I have learnt many lessons on the way.
Dont try to take the silver paint off, they have a rubber coating underneath which is impossible to get off, also use a Polyurthane paint , I can give you the brand if you want, yes it comes in a spray pak can so easy to use, it is a flexiable paint which sticks well and can handle the occasional rock. Before you paint it is always best to lightly sand the original wheel to give it something to stick to. As I have a white car I painted them gold. I think white on a RED car would look great for the first couple of days but they would always look dirty with brake dust. Didnt someone say something about using Volvo pads to reduce this, Anyway good luck.

Anyone else thought of doing this or have had this done?

I have a silver RC, and have been toying with the idea of powdercoating them either a very dark metallic gunmetal grey, or a semi gloss black.

reminescent of the Evo "Tommi Makkinen Edition"...but it does make it look a little cheap.

Brilliant, try lowering it a bit and I think it will look the goods!! Inexpensive mod at that, well done McCoy.
