Yeah, in like Flynn. I grew up in Healesville I love going out there.
There are alot of great roads to drive out of Healesville. Lots of motorbikes though.

Nice idea Kalt! Unfortunately I can't attend anything for a few more months.
I'd probably find it frustrating driving in a group anyway! ;)
Late Feb it is! :D
I couldn't wait so I drove it today, and yeah you're right Llewelyn, without anyone in sight of me in front or behind, it was tempting to push the limits. From Marysville, I took the route to Warburton down to Montrose, and I have to say I enjoyed that stretch the most. Narrow, snaking roads up and down the ridges, the only restrictions were the debris of branches on the road, and about 3 cars coming from the opposite direction (not bad for a long stretch of alpine road).
Not sure if that's a typical Saturdays afternoon there, as I was expecting plenty of bikes and car enthusiasts up there, but only saw a few 60's hotrods and some racebikes coming back, this was at about 2:30pm.
Marysville centre park looks like its under renovation but there's shops there for food, or BBQ.

Hey guys.
I haven't been online much lately, but Feb is outa the question for me.
Don't get my licence back till end of Feb.

o_O Bummer! When exactly will you get your license back?
Start of March is Autumn, all the trees will start to do a striptease, leafing more debris and branches on the road (I'm guessing, not sure really).
Might go again this weekend, one last good drive to say "Sayonara" to the brilliant AD07's! :D
Nah no more leaves in autumn than any other time. All gums and ferns through the spur

I get my licence back on March 1.
what tyres did you end up changing to al?

I bought the Goodyear eagle F1 D5's last year, have kept them in storage for the last 3 months as the AD07s wear down. It's taking a while, a lot longer than I thought! My pads are near replacement too, was squealing like the proverbial when I was flagged down to do a RBT tonight, honestly thought they would pull me up for an on the spot roadworthy check!
Anyway, will have new ankles, socks and treads by next week, good to go for another 'Spur run !!
So we looking at the last weekend of Feb or first weekend of March? Itll be a fair amount of driving, but incredibly enjoyable.
Yet another Victorian Public holiday is creeping up on Monday 12th March.
Want to meet up!
In WA that week unfortunately. :(

I'll be heading through on Monday. Won't be too much fun to be traveling with though, the boat will slow me down somewhat. Or my freaking out wife telling me to slow down. :-( But once on the water... No speed limits in the middle of Eildon!! :-D

I was thinking of heading up today but was held up at work. Might go tomorrow or Monday if the weather holds.
If youre heading back via Warburton way you might see me going up that way, doing the reverse route from last time :D
The Chum Creek / Myres Creek rd loop from Healesville to Toolangi is a good run also.
