So, its Lunar eclipse yesterday. Its something that don't come often everyday, so did anyone actually end up going out to watch it?

Me end up meeting up a evo 9 owner off Clubitr near my place and took some shots. Its such a waste for not having a girl to hang out with and watch the moon together. The moon is never as romantic as yesterday

Here's my shot from yesterday

Was having a BBQ & beer last night and could see the eclipse over the Adelaide hills when the cloud cleared. Not too bad but have seen a blood red eclipse in the Pilbara many moons ago that was very speccy!

Nice pic. Your skills are getting good.
I was lucky enough to be up at Windy point in the Adelaide Hills with my gf. It was a great view.

Oh my god...what lens did you use to capture that? I don't think I can get that with my 70-200mm.

Its my kit len 75-300mm. I guess the extra 100mm helps...but still too small for my liking.

How on earth did you get such a perfect exposure? has that been Photochopped? All those years studying photography and i still cant get anything decent outta the moon? Advice????

Only very slight PS has been done for the background. I make it full black..although the original is pretty close already. Advises??? This is my first attempt of a moon shoot.......don't even think i done too well....

I guess maybe find a pitch black (or near) location to take the pics...?? Also, you will need:

* Remote control in order to use BULB mode shoots
* Tripod for long shutter speed

I failed in the sense that my shots are blurry when using long exposure timing (for obtaining low iso & high F), hence i crank up the ISO to max and F to lowest. Its not bad, but can do so much better if i have the remote control.

It sure is a great experience. I would have gone to a pitch black place to view it.....if its not because i have a senior first aid course/exam the next day and work.....
