Hi Guys,
SO I'm trying to install my new head unit, which is a Philips CED1700 (7" DVD Touch Screen).
the plugs don't match up so I was wondering if there are any suppliers of Wiring Adapters?
I don't like the idea of having to cut and solder the wires.
Also, The speaker outputs (or line outs) are female plug ends, how do I go about plugging in the speakers?
Thanks,
Josh
go to autopro (or your equivalent) and they will stock "Aeropro" adapters
have a look on here for what you want
you will need a "phillips to ISO" then a "ISO to mitsubishi"

Have used the Aeropro adapters in my wife's Corolla and my Colt after being an avid snip and solderer since being able to drive. Love them. Turns a 1-2 hour job into 30min job.
Only thing I noticed in my car is the front and rear balance is reversed. I usually balance the audio to front speakers, did this in the Colt and the sound went to the rear lol. Cbf re-pinning the adapters.

Hey guys,
Supercheap, Autobarn, Repco etc. all sell the generic Mitsubishi Adapters.
The adapter works like this:
Mitsubishi Plug --> ISO Plug
If your head unit doesn't have ISO (which mine did luckily) You will need to find the adapter which works like this:
ISO Plug --> Head Unit Plug (each brand is different, so make sure your model fits, in QLD Northfield Car sound stock most of them from around $15-$25 and it means there is little if no soldering to be done, Just plug n play!)
The end product is:
Mitsubishi Plug --> ISO Plug --><-- ISO Plug <-- Head Unit Plug
I also found that if the cables don't flow very well through both the firewall (if connecting an Amp from the battery) or through the interior, tape a wire coat hanger (that has been stretched out) with the cables and pull through... do it gently so as not to catch or damage anything.
All in all, took about 2hours total work to wire it all and install (once I knew what to do)
Any questions?

where can you get just a mitsi replacement one??? because mitsi dont sell them as a individual item, its sold with the HU. 1200 for a new HU and harness lol
You can buy a plug that goes from ISO--> Wire ends (which you can either add terminals or solder onto the head unit)

don't need them, just cutters and sticky tapes... ahahahah thats what i used to do with my corola lol....

Similar thing happened to me, the front L&R speakers were reversed so if I Faded front to back the listening plane was diagonal sounding but not really because of the location of the back seat speakers, so it sounded like virtual surround sound. Had to correct it immediately, and with the help of one of ELEGNTs wiring diagram somewhere on here was able to re-pin it :)

I removed all my speaker wires from my adapter harness and soldered it to the new head unit harness, The joys of having a head unit with copper chassis and no internal amps.
Besides rear speakers are for pussies haha
