Hi all
I have been modifying $10 mats to suit RColt.
Wont pay Mitsu prices and the Net expensive as well for Colt mats.
I used my $10 matt as a template and found at Supercheap they have Mats by Road Gear
part number SC9426 to suit Ford FG series. About $45
So I bought them and they suited when cut 90mm shorter and I found I could open the plastic circles and re cut them into the trimmed mat and hooked them onto the original Mitsu plastec bits to stop the mat moving.
I must say all four corners fit great 100 % and look great.
Even Go peddle clearance perfect.
I took pics on doing the mod so if anybody is interested please tell me how to load the pics and will do so

Hmm something wrong will fix
As I said above I purchased these mats from Supercheap Auto (Actually they were $54)
They feel like they have quality.
Mfg Road Gear part number SC9426.
So I needed to cut about 90 mm off the length
This first pic shows just past the 2 plastic round bits marked in chalk about 90mm. After cutting I took the offcut with the 2 plastic bits cut the carpet off them and inserted a 6 mm wide chisel into the gap in the plastic parts and seperated them.

Then I took the mat and placed it in position in the car and marked with chalk where the tops of the colt mat holders were undneath the mat. (A dot of chalk)
Then I took the plastic round top piece sighted the dot through the hole and then twisted/push the plastic piece to mark on the carpet the dia to cut. Bit fiddly but cut with chisel
Pic of cuts.

I found the cuts of the carpet clean and matched the carpet in the colt so I felt no need to try and finish the cut in some way. The overlock on the side may have unravelled to I put clear PVA on them corners.
Mats fitted perfectly in the back.
Passenger mat did not need the plastics to be fitted as colt does not have holding pegs that side. Fit was excellent.
Drivers side had clearence on all pedels and fitted perfectly. Only down side it covered foot rest a little as per pic but no worry in use.
Mats are heavy and fairly stiff with a quality feel.
East job to do.
