Ok so i'm a marine electrican so there has to be a joke in here somewhere...
One of my HIDs has blown (drivers side) and there is no way i can get my hand in there to pull it out and figure a replacement without pulling something apart - at the moment its looking like the whole headlight and i can see one bolt at the top and one near the grill. Does anyone know if there are others?..... or is there an easier way?
Cheers all. :)

Get at it through the wheel well. Check your service handbook for details. Fair pain in the but though.

Looked on the net and there is supposed to be an access spot so i took off the wheel n still couldn't find it - so i pulled off the front section of wheel cowling and went behind the plastic - bit of a mission and could have killed the installer (dodgey). So i'm off to repco tomorrow to find a replacement or maybe ditch the HID s if i can find something similar.

I thought i should put this in if someone else doesn't have a handbook...

-Remove the two bolt/screws just inside the wheel arch (1 at 1 o'clock, one at about 2)
-Remove the tab that attaches the drivers side corner of the wheel arch lining to the spoiler (and any others you think - flick them out slightly with a flat blade or unscrew if they are phillips head)
-Stick your arm up, around and in - like Matt says i'ts a mission
-look in to the headlight to align the bulb and you can see where the wire "lock" clips in too.

This should get you there and is pretty much what the book says.
However if you get pissed off or have non JDM hands there is a bolt at the join between the spoiler/nose bit and the quarter panel below the headlight - undo this and pop the corner of the spoiler off, this will give you more room....
If you get really pissed off then jack up the corner of the car (esp if you've got coilovers)

I ended up pulling off the HIDs and going the Navra arctic white + 50% - they seem to have a good colour and shouldn't blow as easily (and the fuse).... A bit boring maybe but i don't want to do that job too often!
