Hey guys, i know there have been a few posts on this already, but i couldn'f find one with my specific problem. I installed a cheap JCar male to male 3.5mm audio jack from the back of the headunit (as per instructions on the forum). The problem is that i am only getting sound out of the left speakers. A friend suggested that this was because i did not have the proper mitsubishi lead and that i would need one.
What are other people's experiences with this? If you had to get the mitsubishi one, how much was it?
Cheers
did you get a mono or stereo 3.5mm lead? if its a mono lead, sound will only come out of 1 side as you described

if you don't push the lead in ALL the way it will only produce mono sound... i would make sure that the leads are all pushed in REALLY hard... the other option of course has already been stated, that you have purchased a mono lead.

Make sure the jack is in all the way... It may feel like its home, but it aint... It should be very tight and click...

the points already made will be the issue.
A stereo lead will have 3 different contact points on the tip, separated by black bands. A mono with only have 2.
Everyone has stereo leads and works no problems, you dont need the mitsubishi lead
Or the other thing is your MP3 Player, (If thats what you are using), is only outputting in Mono

or you might have something blocking your right ear! check carefully using a cotton bud or your little finger and remove any wax or meat from your ear canal.
Make sure the finger goes in all the way... It may feel like its home, but it aint... It should be very tight and click...
