View Full Version : Tow bar help?
Does anyone know if tow bars are available for the rcolt?
I've asked at a few places but I've been told that Mitsubishi doesn't give the rcolt a tow rating which means tow bar manufactures cannot make one for it. I checked the Mitsubishi website & there is no tow bar accessory for any colt :(
I'd like to fit one for my Thule bicycle rack so if anyone knows anything...
Thanks, DAC

Have you tried to go to those offroad 4WD accessories shop to find out if you can do a custom one?
Sorry can't help you more on this as i have no info on RColt tow bar
Thanks, lovecolt.
I have tried a few of those places but no luck so far. Might try a couple more but after that I think I'll have to give up on it...

A very long time ago, I was in the same position when I tried to source a towbar for a Honda Civic. I eventually found a box trailer manufacturer that made towbars for just about any vehicle. I can't remember the company name, but I would suggest going through the Yellow Pages, and contact a few manufacturers.I'm sure you will find somebody out there that can help you.

I dunno if it helps, but I have a Colt Plus Ralliart, which I got a towbar put on when I purchased it. It has a unbraked capacity of 400KG.

Genuine Mitsi towbar is available from NZ. I can find the details if someone is interested. I looked into it once, then figured stuff it, not worth towing with the colt lol

So just stroll in to a aus dealership and request it you reckon, or have to purchase it internationally?
I'm keen on getting a jet ski to tow around..

Get it from NZ, easier and cheaper. If you're towing any decent modern ski, is be putting a better clutch in. My ski's weigh 350kg dry, add a trailer, fuel etc and it'll put a lot of load on the clutch
