Just dropping in asyaing hello to everyone.
Just letting people know that RPW is starting development and stocking of parts for the new ralliart colt vehicles. Already got some stuff in progress, having finished our development phase recently of the new lancer Mivec engines etc.
Starting developvement of headers for the n/a colts and of course things like throttle bodies etc for both the n/a and turbo models.
Being a new model, we like most companies are looking for some people who want some work done cheap - we have the haltech Interceptor unit ready to try on a car for some tuning - this does fuel / ign / boost tuning and duel mapping.
Also cold air induction kits, although we will primarily be using probably the K&N kits having already been made for teh vehicles.
Anyway if your in Perth and are interested drop in and say hello.
For those that don't know us, we have been modifying Mitsubishi vehicles for many many many years, and having recently installed our own DynaPack Hub dyno in teh last two weeks into our workshop, can now do even more detailed development work on the vehicles.
I will try and update the forum as we release new products, but the main key at htis moment is to start getting some vehicles in to do testing on. Because we have our own dyno, we can do before and after runs of all the mods we test, including ones bought in from interstate / international firms where applicable so a great oppportunity to sort out good value for money options.
Anyway enough said for the moment, but if you are after anything for the Colt, give us a buzz.

Thanks. RPW is really stepping up these days - we just installed our own Dyna Pack Hub DYno and it has opened up a whole world of options for us know, allowing us to do a lot more R&D work faster. With the greater support from the likes of Haltech, and now that we also do our own in house exhaust work, we are just able to do more work of a higher qaulity.
SHort shifters are a Priority for me as we know how well they can make a car feel.
As for Sydney, sorry I love Perth way too much. But plenty of opportunity for people here to get some good bargains.

Good to see a familure mitsu face!
RPW is extreamly good. back when i had an FTO RPW made extractors that increased my friends dynos from around the 99kw to around 125
some other extractors from other companies didnt mesure up to well and its always good to have a local developer!

WE will be looking at clutches for sure and more than likely Quaife diffs to replace the stock ones as well.
All in the plan, just one of those things that take time. We are only a small business so we just work as fast as we can.
I had one potential test car owner ring me today, sorry I came across a little rushed but work is very crazy this moment. Call me again next week like I asked and I will be able to make some more sense.

i suspect thats cause its got a plastic ball on it, thats could be why, mabey they need to do a lil more research and get it done ;)
would love some more info steve from rpw

It couldn't be done because the factory shifte ris somehow permanelty fitted to the cables. To replace either a cable or shifter involves replacing both at the same time as they are fully fitted to each other.
The shifter design if it could be seperated, could be modified but we can't seperate it sorry

Does this mean we cant ever get a new shifter for the colt? Or will it just take a while to work out? I certainly cant afford to buy a shifter now, but i will in a couple of years!

maybe its too risky to do it, ie do not re use gearshift and select cables, if they are damaged. it would be an expensive DYI if you fudged it up..

Modifying the shifter by changing the pivot point of the shift lever (usual method of creating short-shifters) would not be possible going by that diagram. Most front wheel drives short-shifter have an adjustable pivot ball with grub screws in it, so you can shift the lever further down to shorten the throw, doesn't look possible as the lever will hit the metal work if moved down. Any other ideas, or any of the overseas guys know of any solutions to this (or kits)?

i think there is more room below it, but a hammer can fix any space related issues :P
And i would say the cables are easy to remove with the correct tool, thou the manual didnt specify any tool. I would use a trim removal tool.

Hey guy's we seem to have lost contact with our previous colt test vehicle. If someone else would like to step up to the plate, we are keen to sort out the short shifter kits. Anyone interested gets a free short shifter fitted to there vehicle.
If your interested just pop me a pm.
Am also looking for someone to test our other products - so if your keen let me know.
