had the colt for about a month now.. only 1300 on the clock.

have noticed that there is a grinding noise that is coming from the passenger side of the engine bay.

comes when the car is idling after 15-20 mins.

have taken it for its first service and mech said he couldn't hear anything. but then after i let it sit idling fora while the noise was back. mech acknowledged it and said that it is the gearbox.

anyone else having this problem?

That is a common noise for our gearbox. Of all the rcolt i have seen in person, we all have that. Was advised by Getrag Euro that it is just the characterisitic of the gearbox.

so is it something that i should be worried about ?

because a friend of mine has the colt as well and there is no noise from his car. (it was a demo as well)

Was told nothing to worry about. Is your friend's a ralliart colt or just normal colt? Because only the Getrag gearbox on ralliart colt has this characteristic.

just get it checked out regularly or at every service:

I have the noise as well (No Problem)

I recon that it is my Rcolt quietly grawling waiting for me to get in and drive it as when you drive it that noise goes away and it starts to gently raw the more excited you allow Rcolt to become.

I've had my lil stallion 4 10 months it was a demo and the only noise i hear is when the tyres smoke up on take off and the revs get up 2 red line. thats the only sound we all should be hearing.woooooooooo:D

Bear in mind guys. The gearbox noise is only audible if you stand right next to the passenger side's front wheel or put your ear towards to right hand side within the engine bay. One can't hear it when driving or within the car.
