Dunno that the AD07 would be all that fresh now. They go off when sitting on the shelf.
I reckon there's plenty of other tyres with similar or better grip for equal or less money.
No-one has checked the Continentals (Sport 3's I think) yet. Something similar to what comes out on the VW GTI etc. Apparently they're good grip (Wet or Dry) and good wear but they're a bit pricey.

Hi I checked the Continentals sports 3 They are out of stock for at least 2 months. I might be able to nurse the life that far with a rotation.
The AD07 are a worry as well as shelf life if 1 is damaged it may cause problems in getting 1.
Remembering just for the road, How about Kumo top of their range KU27. They are a reasonable $159.00

KU36 out did the AD08 in lateral G. And at $150 a hoop, it's a no-brainer...

Has anyone actually used the new AD08's? I went down to the dealer this week and he said it would be at least 3 months till they arrived in the country. Also mentioned that AD07's are now out of production meaning that supplies will be getting shorter up to the delivery of the AD08's.
I got a set of the AD07's for $300 each (Balanced, fitted and disposal of old ones). I know it’s not the best price but what could I do, I couldn’t wait another 3 months.
Also of note - Tirerack.com does stock our tyre size. So sad....

Jebus, $300ea.
The AD07 is not worth that price.
Why did you go for AD07?

There's Bridgestone RE002 now.
I've always been a big fan of the RE001 - not the best for grip but somehow made steering response a lot better than KU36 (real comparison having both brand new sets at the time with my S2000) and KU36 having best grip.
But the RE001 was ten times more fun.

I know a good tyre when I feel one and I couldn't be bothered with experimenting with alternatives.

I have got my AD08 205/45/16 from Bob Jane 2 months ago, paid $275ea, so it's not true to wait 3 months, i was susprise they do have our size when Bob Jane first told me because i checked the yokohama website that they don't come in our stock size, by the way the people from Bob jane told me the AD08 are located in Sydney.

Anybody know if the ad08s heat cycle as bad as the 07s?

AD08s are much better than the AD07s. Grippier and lasts longer. Comparatively, AD07 becomes greasy much quicker

Hmm, I doubt anyone ever will without knowing how many miles/kilometers you have run on them...
I have 8,000 Kms on my stock AD07s and the fronts look quite scuffed for a normal suburban-driven tyre - I probably should have them swapped front-to-back at next service.

I've got Ad08's, my partner thrashed it in the wet and dry and the grip on these tyres in the wet was as if driving on dry road. Fantastic tyres IMO and they look great as well.

There is no doubt that AD07 are bench mark tyres, great on the dry and not so bad on the wet.
Keen to try a set of KU36 as I heard it is bang for buck, and AD07 predecessor the AD08s...
But have decided that the next tyre Im going for are the RE-11. For the reason that it has received really good reviews overall.
Here is the quote I got from tyre rack:
205/45R16~ BS POZ RE-11 XL $181.00 x 4
Fed Ex shipping $341.24 (approx 10 bus days)
Total = $1065.24 USD
