View Full Version : Gear shift knob mod
Yeah I know it ain't a big mod but its my first mod :p
Its a 230 gram Razo gear shift knob in black chrome. I've attached a pic in case others out there are thinking about it & want to see what it looks like without the stock gear shift knob on.
I found the stock gear shift knob a bit narrow & I prefer the feel & added weight of this new one :)

Nice! No mod is too small......i even consider a radiator cap a mod :D
So, is the Razo knob higher or lower than the stock? I love the stock knob. Looks and feel kinda like a Honda Type R knob. Very Comfy

Dunno how people can use gear knobs like that. For me its the stock knob or a straight stick shift, feels much better than the ball type.

looks smick dude.
The Integra Type R knob is actually made from titanium & it felt great. In shape it's more like a stretched ball then a perfectly round ball if you know what I mean.
Unfortunately I found the stock knob too skinny compared to my old Integra Type R knob hence this new one. Roughly it is 10mm - 15mm lower than the stock knob. It’s a lot heavier than the stock knob so it seems to smoothen the shift action particularly from 1st to 2nd gear. Either that or I’m imaging it hahaha

Adding the extra weight a distance from the pivot will give it some more mechanical advantage, you will need to input a lil more force, but it wont slow down as much through the notch due to the extra weight :P
