Hello to everybody out there !

I would like to understand the aftermarket coilover feedback.

Currently i am using Tein Super Compact with spring rate F:3, R:3
My personal feeling is this coilover suits daily street use, but definately not suitable for track use
It gives a very bumpy bouncy ride on road. Not a firm and solid ride.
I want to forcus on my car handling and thinking of changing to suitable coiloiver that is really good for corner and suitable for track.

The following are a few which i am considering:
1) Tein MonoFlex with spring rate F:5,R:4
Anybody have experience with this coilover ? This is my top piority

2) HKS coilover S.Compact with spring rate F5, R3.5
HKS coilover Hipermax III ( need to check if available for our car) I am interested in this as well.

3) Cusco Compact S with spring rate F6, R3.3
Cusco Compact Zero 1 with spring rate F6, R3.3

Any kind of feedback is welcome.
Any other brands or spec of coilover are welcome to share.
or even, how should we setup the suspension system for our car correctly ?

Well we have not got much we can adjust on the suspension at all.

Stock adjustment is only toe, which is steering rods.

With aftermarket you may get camber as well which is fair easy to do.

The you have ride height, which you can corner balance the car with.

monoflex is your best option and I had it on my ex-S2k - which is track friendly but not road friendly, not cheap either. However, i doubt it's available for the Colt. I've only seen the Tein Basic for Colt.

Wow no kidding. A bit too hardcore for the Colt in my opinion but yeah cheaper option probably perform almost the same since it's hardly anything adjustable. But never know, give it a try and buy it! :)

We sell and recomedn the K sport range. Perfect balance of excellent street use and great for track work as well.

Given you already have coilovers installed, would'nt it make more sense to just buy uprated replacement springs? Something like a F:5 kg/mm and R:4 kg/mm would be a better balance i reckon? I take it you've played with the rebound/damping adjustment? This is probably the cause of the 'bounciness'...too much positive rebound adjustment.

Anybody heard of HKS hipermax III for our car ?
I ever heard of someone saying so but i am not able to find it on the internet.
Therefore, i am not sure if it is true or not.

Of course hardness is one of my main issue, but damping force as well.
I would like to upgrade the spring rate and change to monotube design which have more stable damping force compare to my current.
Therefore, i hope to change the complete set.

Any other feedback are welcome.

There's no listing for them on the HKS website, only S-compact.
