Hey guys
Was just wondering if anyone had tried to set up that X-guage option on the scanguage that measures boost? See here....
http://www.scangauge.com.au/support/pdfs/Ample%20Outdoors%20-%20X-Gauge%20-%20Turbo%20Boost.pdf
Anyone want to test it compared against a normal boost guage and let me/ us know if it works or not and if it is accurate enough?
I havent bought a Scanguage II yet otherwise i'd give it a try.
Cheers

Doesn't work, colt doesn't have a map sensor for boost, unfortunately it's one thing the scangauge cannot do, but other than that it's not a bad buy for monitoring other engine parameters and clearing/reading engine fault codes.

Coro
How does the colt monitor boost pressures then?

I believe the colt's ECU uses information from several difference sources to determine what boost level should be held, it's not monitored from a single sensor (ask Macca, he will give a better explanation or do a search, our ECU is quite complex!). I have tried to use the x-guage for boost beofre and it simply doesn't work.

Combination of engine load, temperature, throttle position and mass air flow signals among other things, it just knows where airflow should be, if its not, it crys.

Then we take out a box of "scanguage" and wipe all the tears away........ then punish it again! LOL
Thanks
