Anyone know offhand the diameter of the the colt's hub for wheel fitment, just to ensure the wheel is seated on the hub properly without the requirement for hub spacers?

69mm double check it's written in my DIY for the dual pots I'm fair sure.

The reason why I asked is that I really needed some concentric rings to make sure the wheels mount on the hub properly so that all the load is not placed on the wheel studs. I bit the bullet and went to a tyre shop, they fitted suitable rings for approx $35, so all sorted!

The tyre place said it showed 67mm hub size, could this be the different in a normal Colt and the Rcolt?

69mm but you would want wheels which has 70mm+ to fit it (add rust on top it's 70mm)

It's 69mm/69.1mm. The hubcentric rings and wheels from my old CH Lancer fit the Colt.
They have nice solid metal rings too, though plastic ones are suitable enough just to ensure the wheel is centred correctly when putting it on the hub. My wife's car has plastic ones for her 18's, drove for a week without them and could feel horrid vibrations through the steering without them above 80km/h. Put the plastic ones in and problem gone.

So the 67mm must be the normal colt???

i believe its tapered.

69mm where the disk brake sits, and slightly smaller where the wheel sits

So if I order a set of wheel it has to be 69mm+ ?

If the hub diameter is 69, then you have to go either the same or bigger. If smaller, it wouldn't even fit onto the hub.

Thanks guy, I almost ordered a wrong set of wheels with 67mm hub size.

Hey guys I'm really confused about the hub size, have i got this right by measuring the inside of my stock wheel?

Image from left inside the hub is 67mm and the widest part of the wheel hub is 74mm and the EVO 3 disc I have for my brake upgrade has 69mm which i assume is ok because the stud will hold the disc secure....I'm still learning about the Rcolt can someone help me? Thanks

I see, so if I have a 67mm constant size hub alloy wheel it wont sit flush with the disc because it will hit the tapered part of the hub. I cant tell from the photo but does the tapered bit extend past the face of the EVO 3 disc? Thanks again

nope, the taper finishes flush with the disk.

Wheels should fit fine.
