i like the oddysey... alot!! But they only come in 4 cyl don't they? My wife is use to 270kw and 550Nm from the F6 so it will have to perform reasonably well.... what do the Honda's go like?

UR never gunna find a people mover that goes like a Typhoon - Not without some serious engineering fo sure :P. A while back one of the F1 teams put a Renault Espace body on an F1 chassis/engine combo... Went like a shower of shit - only 2 seats but. Theres prolly some footage getting around on pootube somewhere?

We've been looking at the Hyundai Sante Fe CRDi, goes very nicely and has all the fruit. Overlander magzine did a review with all the 4WD in Oz a few years ago and the softroader Sante Fe beat quite a few of the dedicated 4WD out there - Turbo Diesel has plenty of grunt too, dunno exactly but it wouldn't be 550Nm tjhough. But it gets about 8ltrs per hundred K's :)

Simple get the turbo territory from ford, its will be close to home, and stock about the same pace as a colt.

Territory Ghia Turbo apparently go alright.

Oddyssey need turbo and work to be fast, but have lots of potential.

I personally like the Grandis by Mitsi. Looks good from factory. Again would need turbo work. But easy to do with a few grand.

Look into grey imports if you want a lot of power. Japanese have a love affair with people movers and turbos.

RVR, Super Custom Hiace, theres lots out there.

I've also seen a Hiace with a 308 holden in it.

have been looking at territoy turbo's... which obviously are very strong. I know i am not going to get anything close to the F6, i don't want something that when filled with ppl will struggle either. I also like the look of the VR-X Grandis. I like the pumped gaurds on them. looks quite tuff, but a V6 would nice.

Thanks for the input guys... still unsure but the F6 goes probably Tuesday and need to something quite quickly.

Yeah dont know what's up with subaru,

my mate bought an 08 Wrx Sti, hadn't even had it's first service, got it serviced this year and they detuned it, or should i say gave it a less aggresive tune, imagine getting a service and getting rimmed like that.

I always LOVED the Exceed Pajero too, in the turbo diesel.
Never been a 4wd fan, but that was nice. Folding the seats was fun, good range of features, dual zone climate, sat nav, leather, alloys. Back seats weren't the nicest things to sit on though. Was like a leather covered lump of timber, but I hit one coming out of the driveway one day and spun up both rears down the street. Plenty of power.

My bro had a Territory and fell to bits.
Don't know about the F6 because they would use different (better) parts than standard, but everyone I know know who had a standard (or XR6) Falcon and Territory had generic problems.
Wheels bearing, alternator, steering rack, ignition coils, brakes. Next door neighbour had his Tickford apart every weekend, bosses ute has 100k and is in Ford every month with another problem. Mine kept going into limp.

The Subaru Tribeca is a 7 seater with vehicles around your price range being mainly the 3.0 litre V6, they have quite a few interior goodies, 4x4, and good safety rating, here is an example:
