Hankook RS2 - cheaper version of AD07 -
better grip, less noise

I must say - those hankooks look extremely close to AD07's.
In the bigger sizes (if you upgrade your wheels) it's hard to look past the T1-R's, they're a great tyre.

i understand the situation with the tyres...but there are still sooooo many others out there that might be better or worse, just have to shop and look around.

I have on my car the Toyo T1-R (205/40/17), it's an awsome tyre! It has a soft compound, very good control on wet, and it makes less noise than the stock ones (Goodyear Eagle F1), although they are both V shaped.
BTW, AFAIK ... There are no Toyo tyres in stock available in Australia on either the T1R or the Proxes 4 for the following size - 205/45/R16, which translates to your OEM tyre. Stock availability check is 1 month old.
