Tuning Sessions thread

I'm looking to book in a Tuning Session at RAC Driving Centre on 22nd April.... if anyone wants to come along for a blast around the big track with me, then let's lock it down.

You need to bring:

a roadworthy car
approved helmet
long sleeve shirt and long pants
current valid drivers lic

no special racing licence is required

cost is $77 from memory and it runs from 2.30pm - 5.00pm

they have an airhose there if you need to play around with tyre pressures

Guys thats the same night there is a no speed limits event on. Why don't you go to that instead, doesn't start till 6.00 and you get a lot more racing in and you get to go really really fast......

nah its all good eh fridays are a hit or miss whether its my night to work or not. could always switch nights at work though will let you kno definitly if i can make it

i'm surprisingly tired, so are my tyres

but they were stuffed before they got on the track haha
skidpan + handbrake = fun

jemjem was really quick considering only running 7psi, i daresay the LSD helps alot
daeds beast spits flames and fuel and rubber and shifter cables

What a great arvo I had! "THE COLTS ROCKS" I must say that alba is total mad on the skid pad LOTS OF SMOKE.......And Dead was very quick as always............

yeah guys that was well well worth it. alba takes the cake for most awesome driving. i saw some serious tripoding. hey jem you should hear the pops and crackles you get off limiter. sounds joy. yeah i wwill try and stick some videos up aswell

lol this is a video of the small track. jem and i are ranting at the start because i got shitty and smashed 1st to 2nd gear and popped one of the shifter cables off so i had to pull the centre console off with a pocket knife and re attach the linkage.

that footage was really early, so you were going pretty easy.

i'm buying a suction cup mount tomorrow, so next time i'll have some pretty good in-car stuff.

How did you find the quaiffe differentials? Was it the great balancer?

diff works well on the track
jemjem surprised me how quick it was running such low boost

pity i didnt hand the camera over to one of the other boys

Yes the dump pipe housing / front pipe package certainly flows well and it is making similiar power levels to stock colts with higher boost, on his low boost.
