We have now got in stock the Autobahn Induction Kits.
These replace the pipe tha goes from the turbo to the factory airbox. Nice improvement in both looks and flow design.
I have checked it on a vehicle and it fits up fine, other than the breather hose size being larger than the factory one which will require a new hose (Not currently supplied in the kit).
Pricing for these are $157.00 incl GST plus freight
I have two in stock this moment, but we will be ordering more in the next few weeks.
Photos show the kit by itself and how it looks fitted to a vehicle.
I am prepared to organise a group buy on this if we have enough interest. I would need a minimun of 10 orders and if so, I would drop the price down to $145.00 per unit.

I dont have one of these but the forge kit. They look the exact same and I will say theres a noticable difference in performance. I noticed more diff installing this then i did the entire front pipe/cat back.
Deffinately worth the purchase guys (plus they look tits)

I would like to learn more about these things, can you explain how it enhances performance?
Sorry I'm noob

Will these get in the way of any piping required for the installation of an XR6T FMIC? I'm interested in getting something like this, but want to ensure that I won't simply be replacing it in the future when I get around to getting an XR6T FMIC installed. Cheers.

These will fit up with any intercooler kit no problem. It replaces the plastic ribbed hose that goes from the turbo to the air cleaner box.
It is a slightly larger diameter and has a smoother airflow design which can mean less turbelence and better air flow. This improves the efficiency of the turbo as it can suck more air in easier.
The only thing to know is if you do fit up a FMIC unit, and want one of our cold air kits that we have just finised making up, then this pipe is of no use as we have made up a whole new pipe kit. This is only suitable for those who will be retaining the stock airbox setup with factory intercooler.

Ok cheers Dave, I'll hold out for your other kit then. I plan on getting your xr6t fmic kit and cai kit as well as finishing off the exhaust, I'm just having to do it all slowly as I'm back at uni full time :o

How much difference will it make if there's still the reduction at one end of the pipe?
Is there a bellmouth inside the OEM airbox? As an example, have a look at the top portion of an AUIII fowlcan to see the smooth radius on the transition into the intake pipe.
Not flaming, just asking as I haven't pulled the stock apart yet to look....

hey dave, just wondering about this kit, i saw in the autobahn catalogue, that the kit has an AFM adaptor and pod filter is it wise to purchase the whole kit? for an extra $130?
which is here
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120574859870&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
or i found a Blitz air filter kit for our colt which is very pricey $400

To be honest the blitz kit would be no better than the K&N Typhoon kit for the colts, which we showed was not a good thing for intake temps.
Additionally, any metallic adapter for the AFM meter, including alloy airboxes become huge heat sinks and cause the AFM adapter to misread and read higher intake temps which affect the tune on the car. At least the K&n kit is a plastic adapter so you don't get the heat sink situation.
I looked at the autobahn kits and if people wanted them I woudl bring them in for stock setups, but honestly, the stock airbox on the colt is still in my opinion the best setip. For those wanting a better CAI kit, cut open the bottem opening, remove the snorkel and then feed some piping from the front bumper up to it, woudl work the absoloute best. Any Pod filter in the engine bay is just going to be uselesss and is just show time only
If you have aftermarekte FMIC on the car then its even easier.

atleast the autobahn kit can mount to the airbox too.
im going to try a bit of a cai for the intake kit, but ill wait for it to turn up before i start getting too far into it.

As taken from my rides thread.
Sticking it here so people don't have to search far.
Quality is good, not perfect, but at that price, I'm not complaining one bit.
Silicon hoses are good quality
Band clamps are way big as you can see, Even a deep socket might struggle, I don't own any at home, so i had to use a spanner once it didn't fit a normal socket.
Fit really well with the K&N pod kit, alot better, Yes its a little fiddly to line it all up well before, I found the best way was to get the clamp & joiner tight and done up on the turbo inlet first, Put the other blue hoses on the intake pipe and do them up loose with the AFM one so you can adjust it.
Assemble the pod and AFM tight and sit it ontop of the gear box, BEFORE you put the intake pipe in, the pod wont fit otherwise once the pipe is in.
Stick the PVC pipe on the engine
Put the intake pipe in, and then attack the BOV / Recirc valve
Put the pod on, then line everything up and start doing it all up.
I made a custom bracket to sit it off the battery as you can see, It used to be flat with the stock pipe with a 2nd band clamp around the stock one.
The kit just happened to line up perfect and have heaps of thread on the clamp to bend it as seen and do it up easy as neat and tight 10/10 for that one, That strap you can find in bunnings for like $2 or so, no expencive, cut it to size, drill the holes a little bigger,, bent it then paint if you want, mine was painted when it was flat and broke the paint when i bended it. Its awesome stuff I have used it on a few cars and comein different sizes, see my fuse hold for example.
Looks awesome when finished.
Sounds AMAZING with the pod filter louder and clearer sounding spool.
The stock BOV sounds like an aftermarket ATMO bov, really really nice sounds its kick ass, with this setup you wont ever need a atmo bov.
Performance? Not sure yet only driven it around town, couldn't tell much as yet.

Only the pod filter.
How ever adding the hard pipe will make it louder

Hi,
just wondering if this induction kit would fit with my ColtSpeed airbox?? I assume it would since the my current pipe is stock and fits right on to the ColtSpeed airbox.
But i just want to make sure, can u confirm?
