A new section for new products.

We are in the throes of becoming the official Australian Dealer for the Autobahn88 products.

They have a heap of products for the colts which include

Silicone Radiator Hoses

Replacement aluminium intercooler pipes (Hard pipe kits)

Turbo Manifolds - which we all know have cracking problems but that is something we will be trying to rectify with them

We will be looking once we finalise details to offer a group buy on the radiator and intercooler hard pipe kits.

I will update with some photos soon.

Is the autobahn88 manifold the only one available for our rcolts?

I'd love to see the crack issue to see what needs to be improved...

I have just order our first sample kit from Autobahn. The first kits included

2 * Radiator hose kits in red
2 * Radiator hose kits in blue
1 * Lower intercooler pipe kit up to 08 model
1 * lower intercooler pipe kit from 08 onwards
2 * complete upper aluminium intercooler pipe kits
2 * Turbo Manifolds

The manifolds won't be in stock until March but the rest are. Once we get it in, we will be looking for some Perth member to fit these to the cars and check qaulity of them.

Fitment would be discounted as would be the price of the goods. I don't have final pricing yet so don't ask :) This does not refer to the turbo manifold.

When we get the turbo manifolds, we will be prior to selling them, facing them on both flanges, and also re welding them for extra support to hopefully eliminate the cracking issue.

If your in perth and are interested in being a test fitter for these other items, contact me and we will arrange a time. We expect to have these new products in stock in around 14 days time.

Gday mitsi, just wondering what you got from them on the topside, because on ebay they only ever had the one pipe[ the airbox to turbo ] does that mean the whole lot is available now? thanks.

Waiting on the new products to arrive from autobahm we have orders for there manifolds so we held up the order till we could ship everything at once.

Turbo manifolds our steam pipe ones we are sourincg out to a new firm as our current supplier is not setup for large bulk qauntities they are more one off's or 2 at a time. I am talking now with the new firm which uses a CNC process for the merge collector which is very high qaulity and provides a better finished product as well.

Dump pipe housings the mild steel ones are from the same supplier as the current manifolds, we are still waiting for them to arrive, the stainless steel ones I beleive are nearly completed, they will be shipped at the same time as the colt intercooler pipe kits.

I don't know yet I have ordered one set of each to find out

Macca

The difference are between the 2006 and 2008 build intercooler setups

The 08 on colts use a different pick up point on the intercooler

it can be seen in THIS thread
http://www.rcolt.com/showthread.php?t=2553

Note the different pipe set ups different area where they sit, the major one being the LOWER cooler pipe.

and the outlet pipe is different too, untill you get to the factory bend that goes downward, from there up to the motor is the same.

Next new product - MAF Adapter for Cold Air Kits has just been finished and we will be testing this week on a vehcle we are making a cold air kit on now.

This is a CNC Machined billet which is a straight 2.75" internal diameter compared to the factory 2.5" diameter unit. This will also on a stock vehicle, lean out the AFR's a little so tuning would be required.

I am finalising pricing now but will be around the $200.00 value. Will be perfect for those fitting up one of the AEM piggy back ECU's.

Had our first package arrive from Autobahn today with some of there items. Will unpack it over the next few days and advertise the pricing. We will be placing another order with them late next week so people can then decide if they want anything, they can place an order with us.

Theres no turbo manifolds, only anciliary items at this moment.

Gday mitsi, after the silicon coolant hoses, how much?& blue, thanks.

Mitsiman
24-03-2010, 09:27 PM
Priced them up today, the radiator hoses are worth $95.00 (Off the top of my head) for the red or silicone kit. I have one blue and two reds in stock, but I will do anotehr order and probably get 10 of each again depending upon what colours people want.

Ooooh, I'd be keen on that intercooler - I'd prefer to stick with one that fits in the stock position and uses stock pipework. The pricing should be good considering how much their oil cooler kits are.

I will finalise a rough price for everyone on all there products.

I'm also keen on the intercooler details, was going to head down the XR6/F6 path but this may be a better option as far as not fricken around and using stock pipes.

What I am going to do is this guys I will get one of these new intercooler cores in ASAP, and test it on the dyno. I will place a temp probe in the factory piping between the core and throttle body. Do some runs on the stock unit, then fit up the new one and do the same test. Lets make sure before we focus on selling them, that they actually provide an improvement. WE will check there flow and cooling efficinecy first. If there is a perth customer who wants to be the guinie pig contact me. Usual deal, units fitted for free, paying for the intercooler unit only. I will get prices asap

Some pricing as much as I can approximate at this time without acutally purchasing them

The engine covers, if we place less than 5 orders, will be around $360.00 each approx, or if we get 5 or more orders, $310.00 each
The intercooler would be valued at $250.00 - $275.00

Found the Intercooler on UK Ebay, says to suit a 'Mitsubishi I HA1W'

I'm hoping they also have one to suit our colts ;-(
