March 2010 formula 1 meet

Hi All,

An early expression of interest for a Rcolt meet during the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend 25-28th March.

Might be a good opportunity for the enthusiasts from interstate who are coming down for the GP to join in on the meet too.

Got more than 2 months notice.

I can make it Thursday and Friday nights, Saturday day and Sunday days.

Maybe look at Saturday meet, we don't need to meet at Albert Park as it'll probably be mayhem around there on the day anyway.

Yup, no interest from interstate enthusiasts, but enough interest from Victorians for a meet and cruise :D

We have a few guys with issues that count them out of the meet (Julz?, Beneman, Tan18_01, rzcolt?), but still the invitation is open to the enthusiast owners who didn't make it to the December meet.

No biggie if nothing happens this time round though, would have been a brilliant opportunity for any interstate guys driving down here for the GP to do a meet and therefore have that interstate meet in Melbourne << lighbulb moment anyone!! maybe do one for the indycars up the Coast<<<.

Time: 18:00 onwards
Location: Undecided
Activity: Meet, catchup and maybe cruise
Duration: 10 mins or more

Just a hint for future meets - best to PM everyone in Melbourne as it sends them an email letting them know. I haven't been on the RColt forums lately - been pretty busy plus my colt is pretty banged up from the hailstorms. Still waiting on a quote to get it fixed - been over 2 weeks now!

That can be a pain as to stop spam/flood the forum only allows a few in the "To:" section at a time and then you have to wait a few minutes before sending the next one... So sending a pm to 100 people can take ages...

I probably had the time to do the pm's (surely Ryan does not inflict PMS on request!) and I did pm some members, but I didn't follow up.

Pretty much leave it up the members to check the threads for themselves out of their own interest. The December meet was a good example of everyone wanting to attend a meet + having the time to do it too (duly noted Matt can't make Sundays so next meet on the other six days of the week)

Hello all, been a while since ive been on the website.

Shame to hear you guys couldnt meet up.

Good news, got my licence back while im waiting for court summons, and getting my car back from dealer after a month next week ( they lost the lock nut bit and have had to get another one made up so its been away from me for a month now)

Anyhoo im DYING to get back in my car and will be going on a cruise in late april sometime, will let you guys know more as i get closer to the weekend i wanna go, letting you guys know incase ya's wanna come along, ill probably be going to either phillip island or towards mount macedon area, either way im gonna have a ball so just letting you guys know incase youd like to join.
