Make sure you check out what has been explored in the ecu department... Might save you some heartache...

Aha! Nice stance on the update wheels - suits the silver duco as well.. Saw you at Mt Gravatt a few weeks ago, took a few snaps while I was parked behind you :D

The flares are already somewhat colour coded to the silver.

I second Fauxpas' abhorrence of colour coding, but perhaps to a lesser degree.

Got to say seeing these lowered babies makes me want to do mine too.

Has anyone had spacers put on their steering control arms when lowering their Rcolt? I was told that is the ideal way to do it, otherwise you throw out the steering geometry.

i lowered mine at work then put it straight on my wheel aligner... the geometry hasn't changed enough to warrant steering spacers.... if anything, the toe out on turns is a little better.

gone from nearly 0 camber to 3/4deg camber.... handling difference is massive :)

i've spoken to a few places and the guys at arc in springwood say they can do it

That was Rcolt_Fantasia's car (now in car heaven) that was colour coded, didn't look too bad with the right wheel combination, I just wouldn't like having to deal with the inevitable stone chips in the paint work.:)

i dont know if i want to change the wheels, but we'll see ;)

Macca

bee*r limiters are shithouse wouldn't touch it. No point the rectory one works fine I have used it many times.

I think some people ran into problems because the differences in pressures vary so much car to car, even unmodded ones... Add to that variations in stock BOV accuracy and people could be 1 PSI on either side of cels...

You either lucky, or you aint...

Probably will work for now, but don't suprised if CEL rears it's ugly head when you least likely expect it, atmo BOV's are just not worth the hassle in my opinion, but good onya for trying!:)

id keep the stock bov and some tools in the boot just incase
i had the ecu limit the engine on a recent cruise after months
with no probs running a full atmo bov
luckily i had my stock one and was able to do a quick change over on
the side of the road

assholes! seems the problem with an atmo bov isnt cel for me, it is the boys in blue.... recirc isnt as fun sounding :(

03-03-2010, 10:04 PM
lol, did you get pulled because of the sound?

I have mine setup so its drivable with zero sound... At moderate boost and snap shut throttle it'll fizz a bit, and if you drive the boot in you get the full on sound...

ELEGNT - there is nothing illigal about a pod if its secured and doesnt flap around

I too got pulled over once and they didn't pick on the pod filter (only concerned that it was mounted properly), but technically speaking it would be illegal if it increased noise emissions from standard, which it most certainly would. As per usual it's up to their discretion.
