Just came across this Jap owner who put in some spacers on his rcolt. Looks really good if you ask me. He tried on 2 different spacer. One's a 20mm and another's 10mm. I think the 20mm looks good and 10mm isn't much difference off stock.

Before (+37 offset)

After (with 20mm spacer)

Other than the good looks, there is no point of doing this on a street car.
Suspension's geometry will be affected and a full adjustable coilover kit will be needed in order to travel with safety.

Not for me...

That looks awesome. Pity spacers are a defect notice waiting to happen.

I know its quite illegal to have a spacer. But luckily, as 27AME points out to me, we can simply get a more negative offset rims to achieve the same effect ;)

Unless you're absolutely sure on changing the offset, the handling characteristics takes an adverse effect, generally for the worse when not complimented correctly. Spacers should only be used as a last resort, generally to clear bigger calipers and/or rotors.

If you go for more negative offset rims then it could scrape the guard if lowered it ,i have just ordered a set of lenso wheel model no is GF 7 with yokohama S.Drive 215/40/17
87Y with +42 offset and it sit in the guard nicely as checked on this link as below, hopefully the new rims can put them on before end of next week.:)

Of course it could scrape the guard if lowered with a negative offset wheel, that's because the wheel is sticking further out of the guard. Same applies to spacers though, you use spacers that are too big, the same thing will happen.

I know which I'd rather. However, I will be using +43 17 inch wheels.
