Just give you guys a heads up about what has happened. Well i didnt leave the forum because of anyone here or the forum at all for that matter.

As most of you guys where aware I had a problem with a car i help register to a friend who pretty much screwed me over. I've been out of the game due to me being under investigation and also a lot of fighting to save my licence. This is now the 3rd attempt to suspend my licence witch is getting lifted soon i hope.

This problem not only has cost me hundreds and hundreds of $$$ in civil action and dealing with the RTA and the SDRO. You could say its a low point in my life but everything seems to be moving along now. The car has been disposed and is no longer registered to me. As for the hit&run incident, well thats still being investigated and i'm prob going to be liable for it so i'll have to cough up what ever the price will be. Good thing tho is at least i wont be charged for hit&run.

Like to say sorry to those guys who wanted that lip kit from Singapore. I'll try to pull some leads when i have some more time on my hands but no garantee ><

They got him lol. Thats why i got my suspended licence lifted. It was like i got a speeding fine from like april and it was 6 points. Licence suspended. 2nd time was unpaid toll fines he rocked up on the bridge and tunnel ($300+) and that got my licence suspended. That was paided for by him and again the suspended licence was lifted. Now there is another speeding incident in may and its 6 points and i'm getting suspended on the 21st of August but that now should be lifted i hope also.

Hes currently on bail and hes going to court to face hes DUI charges and prob the Hit&Run charges also. Theres also a good chance hes going to get done for driving without a licence.

If he is charged for the accedent you shouldn't have to fork out anything. You were not driving and he has been proven to be reasponceable, he should get the bill. What has your legal representation said about it?

yer i still might be liable even if he was driving. Car belonged to me and isurance will target the owner. Like i said it still under investigation and my lawyer said i still may be liable :(

Yeh very true, but them I'm no lawer, thats my sisters job, not mine haha

But seems as the police have already charged him for the act, it would think your job of proving it wasnt you was alot easer, In the end if it went to court, which im sure it will, You will have a good case.

Well my licence is currently suspended. Due to the SDRO and RTA being slow as hell to process paperwork that was sent in last week my licence is officially suspended until further notice. Meaning that until the paperwork is cleared will i then be able to drive legally again.

Gonna have to grab a mate to drive my baby on sunday :(

As for the hit and run my mates trying to do a runner and cops cant find him. Getting serious now and I might be held responsible for the crime also. Seeking legal advice again. Sighs....

The longer this takes the finish the worse it seems to be getting. Sometimes you just wonder... why does this have to happen to me...

problem is tho they have the details that i have but cant comfirm him in the system as the name i have is hes english name but on the system is hes chinese name and i dont know that.

Whats going to happen now is i'm going to get charged for letting someone drive my car without me having hes full details. As friends you dont ask for this you just trust em. So by law (What the copper said) i have to have these details because if i dont its an offence and i will get charged.

Kinda gettng really fucked up now... sighs...

now its all with my lawyer and we have to see where it goes from there :(

if he has been charged (or arrested with the intent to be charged) with the hit and run I can not see how you would be held liable, even if it is registered to you.
as it is registered to you, the third party insurance will be covered by that but as for the criminal conviction i cant see how they could pin it on you.
If you gave the car to your friend and he did not have license (whether you know or not) you may be liable for that, but that is just impounding of the vehicle and a fine.

but hey, wa legislation could be different. ill look it up tonight if i have time. im intrigued now.

check with your lawyer, but i dont think this will hold a criminal conviction just a fine. Remember the police is all about $$$ revenue raising $$$. (no office to any police officers on ere lol)
