i started my love afair with the colt product way back in 1985 when my brother bought a hand painted kitchen cupboard white 1964 mits colt 1000f for $20 down at valiant spares in Enfield. He passed it on to me so i could learn & spend all my hard earnt cash on it.
I bought a colt 1100f 1968 from a dude in Chulora it was in good nic. for $500 no rego no motor so i got what parts i had and off i went to colt speed at meadowbank.(still in business today) he built me a top engine with the block being 1100cc & the alloy head off the 1000 block with a 42mm 2 barrel webber 2inch exhaust + factory extracters from a 1970 ss fastback which i picked for parts also that came out with twin su's very rare also. I also bought a 1966 1100f hatchback off a lady at tempe for $500 got it goin sprayed it with the little beaver tri colors just cause i had alot of different colors laying around and sold for $1850.00 :) I rolled my pride and joy in 88 on the guider hwy near inverell nsw. A couple yrs later i owned an 82 colt es with high/low gear change. Then i got my 1986 colt45 4speed 1600 it just kept going an going i have had other cars like mazda r100 10a and others i wont dare mention. bought my 2004 model colt at sydney mits in glebe they dont exist now got bored of the cvt trans after 2yrs and traded it at mcgrahs livopool. now i got my black young stallion as i call it and i'm wrapped.
over 30yrs of colts in Australia they are no.1 in my book.

i hope somebody reads my colt story???

You currently got a very nice Colt resume over there :) The only thing you leave out, is a Cyborg Colt of the early 90s. I still wish i can get a Cyborg even till today. Since a sleeper it is.

If a Mirage still considered a Colt, then yes, i have a 99' mirage before. Although not a little beast like my current rcolt, but its very reliable and decent performance. She accompanied me for good 5 yrs before selling to a lady in Newcastle.

As for me, my love for the COLT started from;

The new COLT (Z27A) on a new platform launched in 2003. Total loss it in a crash and brought back the COLT, but a facelifted model (Z23A) launched in Nov 2004. Version-R launched in Jun 06, sold my COLT and bought the Version-R in Sep 06.
