Hi guys,

Do anyone know if the conversion is possible? What's involved?? Might be a good idea as it will open up so much more 2nd hand rims for the car.

good question....
not sure how hard it would be, and since we dont have earlier or newer models its not going to be an easy change that the factory could of made. Alot of jap rims come in the 17x7 4X114.3 size with 40 offsets thou, like ALOT of works and volk rims...but you are right...they are very expensive.

I don't see the point in these conversions unless your wanting to do massive brakes? It's a lot harder to find big brakes for 4 stud than it is to find wheels!

BTW, one of the forums I go on - They're selling 15 inch rims that weigh 6kg each and look HOT, brand new, for under $700 a set. they are 4 x 114.3 but i'm waiting for the offset to be confirmed, they have dish so looks like the offset may be +35 or something - no good for our car.

Is worth looking into for track wheels though!

Also, I found some very hot 5Zigen rims 4 x 114.3, 4 stud, +43 offset, in 17 or 18 inch for $470 a wheel. They look awesome.

That's the dodgey way of doing it. If your gonna bother with the 5 stud conversion you may aswell do it properly. Eg Actually put upgraded 5 stud brakes on it etc.

Care to explain the whole setup and conversion .............. and why you think that would require 5 stud brakes ?
i dont see how these are dodgey, i know afew ae86 drift guys that use these, and you would think drifting would put enough stress on them to know if they are dodgey....
for 180 bucks, if they sit out to far get them machined locally, and bam, you have a new 5x114 setup and the rim choices are endless.
