Besides the ralliart dealers, all major workshops that can supply you with any jap aftermarket parts will be able to import it for you. I will check up with my workshop the next time i'm there for a price.

Just spoken to my workshop, they are able to import one for $1100. Pretty expensive if you ask me.

$1100 for spoiler only or together with front lip? Both parts are make of carbon fibre which made them expensive.

$1100 AUD for spoiler only. And i think the spoiler's made of fibreglass instead of CF. $1100 is too cheap for a full CF spoiler anyway.

You guys are right, me bad.

The spoiler is make of fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP). But at AU$1100 its still very X! I think you guys are overcharged.

Ralliart website priced it at 60,000 yen, that is S$777 or AU$644. The shipping cost couldnt be that much! or maybe i missed out something?

This is called Profit on top of Profit. It might cost 2 - 300 for jap agent fee & importing and the rest is the profile for the shop in aus to organize this for you.

By the way, the front air dam is Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) and cost just as much although it's a smaller piece.

Watch the hump! damn, got to get a new pair...:D

Jokes aside, we are arranging a group buy in SG, let you know how much we pay for them later.

Hi All,

Just wondering whether we have a thread on how to put a new spoiler on? Have just bought one on Ebay and wondering if i can do it myself.

yeh mate its pretty easy, worst part is getting the glue from the standard spoiler off

flip your hatch up
undo 3 bolts (10mm socket and extender required)
spoiler is still stuck with double sided foam.... i levered mine up with a screwdriver wrapped in a t-shirt and then shoved in a rubber door wedge
used a box cutter (really carefully) to cut the foam to allow the spoiler to separate
wax and grease remover to remove/disolve the foam... used an old synthetic chamois and a bucket load of elbow grease
once the glue was all gone i washed the wax and grease remover off with car wash, gave the area a wax
place the new spoiler on, the holes should match, tighten the nuts carefully
voila, instant awesome (in around an hour)

not sure if there was an easier way or some other substance you can use but it worked for me, but i tightened up the bolts too much and slightly damaged the rear hatch, so be careful of that

Thanks buddy, sounds easy enough. Did you put double sided foam onto the new spoiler as well or just bolt on?

alba

just bolted
but i'd probably find some foam if i did it again

Getting that stock spoiler off was a bitch!!! Wrapped a screwdriver up in a towel to lever up the spoiler but in that process the screwdriver went straight through the towel and put a scratch write onto the roof, also left a couple small dents from the leveraging!!! Feeling so noob!:(

I can't stress how much patience you will need to removed the adhesive, it's a slow and arduous process - I ended up using some acetone to dissolve the adhesive and using a chamois (not sham-wow!) with LOTS of rubbing. Just ensure you wash the area treated with the acetone ASAP after use. Eucalyptus oil, goo removers, etc simply don't work, I also tried using fishing line to remove the strip and adhesive in one hit - that was hopeless! Just have patience.

be gentle!!
you must have used some force to dent it

its like... lever, let the adhesive stretch, lever, let the adhesive stetch.....

just found this, is this the same wing as has been put on some of the colts?

To cut through the DS tape get some stainless steel wire around 0.5mm dia.

Once you poke it through the tape you just saw back and forth with a little force to cut the tape. Don't pull it off you'll wreck athing.

The spoilers the colts have are replica Ralliart ones.

Wrong wing, the Ralliart one has the mounting posts further towards the outside edges, plus a middle post. There was a chinese mod on ebay making CF versions of the rcolt ralliart wing - the same guys that currently make the CF front spoilers. You could maybe get them to make one up if you ask them nicely - wouldn't hurt to try.

Ordered and received a replica ralliart rear wing from carbon revo in Singapore, took a little while from the time the order was placed until it was ready but the service and communication from Lawrence was outstanding. Wing looks sweet, now I just need to fit it up!

Do I need to put adhesive foam under the footing when fitting the new wing? If so what do I need and where can I get it?

yoll, got my wing in the post today - looks awesome. the bolts it come with are fully rusted !!?! not sure what thats about. Question, do you need new bolts? or can you use the bolts from the existing spoiler? Or is the existing spoiler just glued on?

also there is the tiniest of hairline cracks on one edge - less than an inch long, definitely a crack not a scratch becasue i can see some depth in it. certainly no flexing or sounds, in fact its VERY solid, - cant move the crack at all. How much pressure are these wings seriiously under anyway?? even on the highway surely is not under heaps of pressure?

Mine had a couple of hairline cracks in it when I first got it, now it is full of them, combination of airflow/stiff suspension, who knows? Am pretty sure the stock wing is both bolted down and also taped down, the tape is an absolute bitch to remove without leaving any sticky gum behind. All I can say is that is took a lot of swearing and friction to removed all the gum from my car, acetone/nailpolish remover would be the best to remove it but you'll have to make sure that you wash it off immediately so as not too damage the paintwork - there is a non-acetone nail polish remover you can get that smells just as bad but is not as corrosive as acetone, I found that it removed tree sap and gum very easily. I've tried all other crap removers and none seem to work very well. Most guys will recommend running a length of fishing line under the wing once the bolts are removed to remove the 3m tape, but it didn't work too good for me.

Use some heat as well.

Eucalyptus oil also works well for sticky crap removal

So can you utilise the old bolts for the new wing? or go to bunnings to replace the bolts that come with it - i take it its only three bolts?

also, that 3m adhesive foam widely available?

bump my own post :)

How did you end up getting the sticky crap off, sounds like it was hard work!

DamoMcTitz

Heres a hint: my thumbs are killing today :)

Dosed it repeatedly with Metho, and in between just keep going over it with dish drying cloths. i was able to 'roll' up thesticky remains with the cloth action, and then move it away from tne base with the metho. took a couple hours easy - at half pace.
