Hi all,
I've never lived in Sydney and I'm moving there in two weeks, (tmr, I got Richmond, I'm happy about it) anyway the house I look like moving into is at Baulkham Hills my workplace is at Richmond, according to Google maps this is going to be a 28km drive each way and 44minutes. My question is, how far and how long does it take you guys to get to work?

Oh this also a heads up that there will be another Rcolt cruising around in Sydney and I'm hoping to be able to meet a few of you guys face to face.

Matt

The trip's about 25 - 28 km from Hornsby to City. Either at 6 ish am or pm depend on day or night shift i'm on. Normally takes me 35-40 min.

Uni: Drive 20 mins, park car, wait for bus, bus for 30-40mins.
Turns about 1 hour 20 minutes with waiting times etc.
Why is UQ so hard to get to and why is there no parking!

Work: Drive 45min to 1 hour 20 min in traffic.

My last job was 600 metres from home :(

hope you like trips, hercs will get you on a few.. probably to the point it's annoying being away from home.. at least your car will keep low km's ;)

Hey mate, cheers, yeah it's been a long road thats for sure, just finishing up flightline and gotta do Display systems (our course got shafted because of the new curriculum so we get to sit the exam a few days before grad). Can't wait to see those front gates in the rear view for the last time, for a while anyway. Never thought I'd see the day. 9th of July being that day.
I'm absolutely stoked about Hercs, really am looking forward to the trips.
Thats the thing I was concerened about with the long drive to work (well long for me) I was worried about racking up the km's but by the sounds of things most people in sydney or other city's have a similar drive anyway.

about 26kms from swan valley to subiaco
takes between 25mins and an hour depending on the time of day, various traffic hotspots and how agressive you drive

actually, i've done it in 15mins in the early hours of the morning coming home from a mates house around the corner of work, not really speeding or anything. its amazing how quiet perth is once the shops, restaurants and nightlife is closed.

Wollongong to Sydney CBD. Bout 90km each way. Mornings leave at 6am, get into the city 7:20-7-30ish...

Going home is the nightmare. Leave at 4pm, anywhere between 5:45pm and 6:15 get home..... Unless there are big accidents as Macca pointed out earlier.
Leave at between 5 and 6pm..... Enjoy the CarPark. :(
