I don't think we've had anyone with the updated colt weigh their wheels yet! Anyone out there care to help out with this?:)

Just did a search, Steve-B weighed the standard rim minus the tyre (06 model), and it was 9.5kg. :)

I'll eventually get around to giving my calipers a clean/paint... When i do i'll weigh the wheels (will be with tyres tho).

The stock 06 rims with tyres' around 18kg. Measured when i change into new rims.

They're pretty heavy wheels considering my 18" wheels weigh less than that! Some 6kg buddy clubs would be nice!:)

Buddyclubs actually aren't 6kg.. The latest top of the range forged ones I am unsure of weight, but my p1 originals weighed in at 7.7kg when I first got them

Doing a bit of grave digging here, but after a bit of research I have found that the '08 rims weigh 1.5kgs lighter than the '06, which works out to 8kgs each.

my 17" (konig zero rims) are lighter then the 16" by a good amount (there called lightweight racing rims on the box??) if you want to compare come round you can lift both :p... if you want them ill drop the price lower for ya, since i see your colt is turning out nice

The Advan RS on our EVO are 7.8kgs each. Not bad considering they're 18x9.

well in most instances
larger the diameter : less tyre wall
Less tyre wall=less flex which = less rolling resistance = better economy.
better economy = less spent on fuel more money in wallet to pay off ur credit card for buying 17s :D
i thought less side wall = better handling?

The stiffer the sidewall the better handling.
Soft sidewall has more grip on launching.
