after installation i feel the air sucking sound was much louder, and the power come out more smooth. maybe the torque have weaken.
there might be more differents will be found since this is only the first day after the installation

That's what i'm thinking as well. Normally a panel filter K & N does cost at least 120. So, did you get it at a discounted rate??

they just sell cheap there that all. just go in n ask them. i have just test drive my car again. i feel there was a bit more power between 4-5000 rpm after k&n installed. but the big thing is power was smooth now and it sound great when the turbo kick in sucking the air

So let me get this straight - I thought people were having difficulties with the CEL light and pod filters?

Heaps of people seem to be using them so I can assume we can fit a full exhaust, pod filter and BOV with no hassles and no ECU problems. yes?

So it's only for the serious mods we will need some sort of engine management.

Oh and Front Mounted Intercooler's should be no problem either - just a matter of whether you want to hack up your front bar or not :P

Well, its the K & N panel filter we are talking here. But pod filter shouldn't be a problem too, if you are using the same pipe diameter (as learnt from the euro czt guys) BOV.....seems like only turbosmart's useable...although don't know why only its usable and not others. Then for exhaust, i know there's a sensor plugged in at the middle section, so i guess in order to remain CEL-less, you have to adapt a plug-in hole to fit the sensor to keep the ecu happy. But then again, it might have to do the pipe diameter again.

Anyway, those are my 2 cents.

I fixed up a K&N filter as well. It certainly bang for buck if u ask me.

The induction was much louder and the pitch of the suction sound is real nice. And i swear the car feel smoother and more responsive too.

And all that under $100 buck! :D

Yes if you get an aftermarket exhaust you DO have to keep that sensor in.

Its a panel filter. As far as i'm aware, K & N is about to release a pod filter in euro. Its in one of the euro car mag. However, the CZT guys in euro are unable to obtain a firm answer from K & N if the pod is readily for sales yet...
