is it even legal for street car?
sorry for being noob, never mod or improve a car performance ever before
because for me if a car is not a sport type of car there is no point for upgrade.
well now i got a ralliart colt i think i should start by learning then doing.
hmm...i think they are legal, but with the current aus exchange rate it's gonna cost you HEAPS!!!!!!!!!!!

I also believe they are legal..... but legal or not, that's the least anyone need to worry as its virtually detectless.
By the way, its Version R, not type R :p

be warned as having a LSD isnt fun to drive at street level. Can be dangerous and hard to control. Yes you will get great traction in and out of corners but it can be a handful on street roads where you dont have the perfect turning apex possible :)

i have driven many RWD cars with LSD's they are no legal issues with them at all, and they arent a strange hard thing to drive, not a handfull at all, but as mentioned it gunna be expencive, you may need more than 3000.
so i would have to disagree with ommeh you cant really tell they are there, unless you have driven the car without one before.

lol maybe it was just my feeling. Was in mates R34GTR and its LSD is hard when you punch it around corners lol~
But i've never driving a FWD with a LSD before. That would be nice if i could tho lol~

Not illegal at all and it improves the drive like you wouldnt believe! Probably the best single mod you could possibly do to an R-colt. It simply gets the power down evenly and smoothly and will quite easily get you better lap times without much fuss. Now you might think that sounds stupid, but then even if you had an extra 50hp with our car it would be wasted in a track situation as you wouldnt be able to get that power down to the treads evenly with the current setup. The LSD fixes those issues so even a standard car would greatly benefit from it.
It's dear though, as has already been discussed and if you had one you'd be one of very few r-colts I know with one getting around which is kinda cool in itself. The price of the unit is exxy of course, and to get on ex-japan would probably be more $$$ than one that landed in oz 4-5 months ago as it stands right now. The labor charge having it fitted would also be $$$ heavy.

McCoy's right on the money. LSD > all other mods for a RColt. After viewing the latest Hot Version 96 with YR Advance's RColt in it, its will become obvious on the importance of an LSD to RColt's performance. But i will go through that in the Hot Version 96 thread.
As for handful to drive in a FWD with LSD, i don't think so as well. I have driven DC2R with stock LSD. Its every bit as normal as a normal FWD on the street and it really shines when you start pushing it :D
If anyone's afraid of how an LSD make daily drive handful, simply go for the 1 way LSD instead of the 1.5 way.

LOl that would be why, its not the LSD thats making it hard, infact if it didnt have one it would be worse, but its the fact theres is enough power to munch tyres easy besides the gtr is 4wd so thats also playing with your head too.
