View Full Version : Oil Temp Gauge Installation?
Hi All
Has anyone installed an oil temperature gauge yet?
I am looking at putting one in but the adaptor would make the oil filter hang down do it could get hit. I was wondering if there was another way?
Thanks

these things use banjo fittings on the turbo.?
I think so, will need to look at the manual to be sure.

i think the feed from the engine block uses a cmbination of metal pipe and rubber hose, so at a join a T piece could be made up to fit a sensor.
Also the oil filter is held on already on a sandwich, if you wanted you could remove this sandwich, and put an aftermarket one in with a oil cooler and a temp sensor, then block or make a return pipe for the 2 coolant pipes that run into the stock sandwitch plate.
I just had a look at the cooler (sandwich plate) and it looks like an aftermarket one just with two pipes for coolant and no holes for sensors. When I have some time I will check out the feed to the turbo and then choose which way to go.
