View Full Version : So, I got myself a 'R'colt, however........
Its only a vRx Colt. :p
I um'ed and ar'ed whether to get a Rcolt or not, but there were a couple of things that swayed my decision.
Firstly, the price. With my Insurance payout on my previous, I didn't wanna throw more money on top for another car.... Rcolts were jusst a bit out of reach. Factor also, I'm building a new house now, and a new baby, and only one income..... it was all starting to add up.
Secondly, and I know I will be flamed by this, is the Recaros...
Don't get me wrong, I love them, but when you drive as much as I do, they do get uncomfortable after a while.
And Thirdly, call me an oldie, but after driving my parents 06 Auto Lancer, I actually got to enjoy the Auto, espically in Sydney's Peak hour traffic!
So, anyway, after all that, here it is....

It was probably a wise decision in your case Milo, the auto combined with more comfy interior should suit your purposes. The VRX's still look good with the addition of the body kit & larger wheels, and the interior is more user friendly for families - the the rcolt can come later!:)

I thought you have a RColt all the way??? Eitherway, VRX's good too ;)
Thanks Guys...
I bought it private from someone down at Falls Creek, (South Nowra), and Paid $13k. It's a 12/06 model, and has 32000km on it, but being from down there, it is excepted to have a few Country Km's on it, although I'm not too concerned, as I'm going to be putting around 1000km a week on it. :p
They were the only wheels for the car, which is a shame as I would have liked the standard rims to go with it! :(
Macca, where did ya move to now?? The Ambulances keeping you awake?? :p
Gave it a quick wash and polish, and have picked a few very minor scratches and swirl marks, which I will attack over the next couple of weeks...

How you liking the vrx so far?
Well, if your in Cochrane St, I'll be South of you... You will be driving past my house on your right as you head towards the Freeway exit.
The VRX is going very well so far... First tank of fuel, was just short of 600km. Can't complain there. Shamed it rained on the way to work today after polishing it on Friday... Typical.
