Hey guys got my colt last friday and have noticed differences in it too the one i test drove.
mine doesnt have a leather wrapped steering wheel. nor does it have that silly little sunglass/ticket holder.
anyone else have those things?
ive also have noticed some lines comming up in the tint on the front windows. the front passenger side is particularly bad. hope they will replace it.

hey mate
thats interesting bout the steering wheel and sunglasses holder - mine has them..
but about the tint on the front windows its to do with seal - i think everyone on here has had that same problem including me and i don't believe theres any real solution except not have tinting on the front or just to put up with it...

its weird you don't have those. Better bring it back as these things are stated on the official website.
As for tint....i had it too after months of having my tint...but its not that bad. Something you can live with

Just Spoke with my Dealer, and he said to bring it back in today.
He confirmed it should be leather wrapped, and also said if the scratches persist they will replace it due it being under warranty.
Not too worried about the sunglass holder i kinda like the clean roof line without it. just want the steering wheel.
Hey have u guys got any idea how to make the dash illumination brighter, do i need a stronger bulb. does not appear to be any variable illumination control.

This makes me wondering....if our RColt is a true RColt..... i mean all these should be standardly fitted in Jap when our RColt receive its extra spot welding chassic treatment....
And no, there's no options for you to adjust the dash brightness....unless you went for aftermarket. I only even seem the jap, changing the front map reader lights into LED....maybe you can get someone to put a LED into your dash ;) That will be interesting. For me, i think its just perfect.

Interesting! I have some lines coming from my pessengers window too... I know a few that has that also... That haven't been a big deal for me, so I have been driving with it for 2 years, and it is still there... :(

Not just that two items, our roof carpet is specially treated to absorb cabin odours :D

Wow that's weird about those coupla things missing from your car..
I wonder what happened in Mitsubishi for that car to get out there.
I love the sunglasses thing, its just another pain in the arse thing bouncing around in your car e.g. wallets, phones, coins, keys, sunnies, that the colt takes care of for you by having a place for it. Love it.
Good luck with it.

the dealer rang me back like twice in one day,
they have ordered the parts from Japan, should be here in 2 weeks.
they are also going to replace my tint on the windows which is excessively scratched.
pitty my 1500km service will mostly likely be here before the parts arrive

Make sure you chase it up with the dealer on the parts. They are suppose to order a rear replacement seat belt under warranty after my first service and till now, no news at all from them. As its only a noisy seat belt, i can't really be bothered to chase it up. But i might when i'm free sometime soon.

Old thread revival!
I noticed that my RColt doesn't have the sunglass holder either.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?
It was built 12/06 complied 06/07.
Is it a simple bolt-in style job?

There are a few irregualrities with even the earlier rcolts, including things such as missing front air dams, and different coloured air-con controls (black versus silver), we have also found that some rcolts are even running different boost levels from the factory. A majority of earlier colts should have the sunglass holder, they disappeared when Mitsubishi decided to cut the price of the colt along with some of its features - but at least they gained the nicer wheels. Yours might be another isolated case. I have found that most of my sunglasses don't fit in there anyway so you are not missing out on much.

Yep, my 'Dame Edna specials' barely fit the glovebox let alone the little thing in the roof.
No great loss if it's missing.

I use the top sunglass pocket for my galaxy S when on long trips, no uncomfortable phone in the pocket, and I use the card holder for my NRMA roadside assistance. Sunglass holder plastic thing is well worth it.
