Sorry MIJ, not much available re swaybars at the moment. It looks like Cusco could have one out soon, and hopefully whiteline get around to developing one soon as well. The best you can do at the moment to tame some of thaat body roll, is to fit some stiffer aftermarket springs.:)

Sway bars don't control body roll per se, but they do allow you to tune the handling by controlling weight transfer. For instance, a sway bar bolted to the rear of a FWD car will reduce weight on the inside rear wheel during cornering, and this will cause the tail to slide wide, neutralising the FWD car's tendency to understeer. If you get the stiffness of the bar right, you can end up with a very nicely balanced car. However, a bar that's just right for dry conditions will be too stiff for wet roads, hence the popularity of adjustable sway bars in racing and rallying. Also, the stiffness of the sway bar must be matched to the springs, as the bar works by degree of deflection. The stiffer the springs, the stiffer the bar must be in order to work.

But be warned. A stiff rear sway bar can catch the driver out when used on the road. A sudden dose of oversteer can be very embarrassing if you don't catch it!

I have been looking for the aftermarket lower springs for a while. I have used the kings and some logo one on my other cars b4. I reckon they are very soso. Anyone using those japanese one on Rcolt and any comments? Also how they compare to the logo one? So atm I have no idea which one should i go for.

Do you actually know what a swar bar does and how it actually works?

Tech hes right lol. Its main purpose isnt to remove body roll but to change the characteristics of the car so it helps reduce body roll.

You can change the way your car reacts at the limits. Like he said a stiff sway bar will cause the car to over steer at the limits and a lose one will cause the car to under steer. So if you want a sway bar that works i suggest getting coilovers 1st or at least changing the springs. This way you can get a sway but set to the right stiffness so that it will be as neutral as possible. But ALWAYS set it to under steer rather then over steers as under steers is easier to control then over steer and is the safer way to go. So when you find that neutral point, loosen it up a bit so that it intentionally over steers.

On the Hypertec stuff i think Jason.rcolt has everything available on hes car but he doesnt drive her hard enough to feel the difference. Try PM'ing him and see what he says.

Also MIJ if u had checked its right here

This is one thats developed by Cusco. BUT i do 100% suggest you get some coilovers before you go anywhere near a sway bar!

Yes hes the only one. To be honest not a lot of people have had a chance to move into this area yet. Most of us find the standard suspention setup is more then enough to handle our daily driving. I for one am considering going for this stuff but before i do i want a set of coilovers. So this option wont be any time soon. To busy with the haltech at the moment.

I'm interested in getting the Hypertech link bar (or whatever its called), but we seem to have hit a brick wall with our site sponsor on this - has been ages since I've heard anything back on this item???:(
