You guys do know we've got the cut version right? Dont be worried but i've been told its only cut some of the little things out. The actual game play wont be effected ok so theres really nothing to worry about. At this time all i know is that some off the cut scene are missing and there is a little bit of game material gone such as the sex stuff.

If you really want a uncut copy you'll have to go to NZ to get it :)

Australia sucks cause we dont have no R18 rating for games :(

wooo! i just ordered my US copy from play-asia.com.... no censoring for me :D and cheaper too only paid $78 incl fast delivery - u gotta love the strong aussie dollar :D

Just a note. All versions of GTA are all cut versions. Even in contries like NZ with R18+ game ratings. The only exception is the one from the states i believe. So really we're not missing out at all. For those who got theirs not from the states, you might as well have gotten one from Aus :)

I only just started it about 3 hours ago and I'm a bit disappointed, but I did hype it up wayyyyy too much. Does anyone else find it too dark?

Having a look in the menu at all the stats though, theres a bit of cool shit I'm yet to do so that will be good.

I reckon they should do a GTA in the same kind of style, but they should use a Call of Duty 4 platform. Make it first person, make everything like call of duty, but have the same type of missionsand free-range that GTA has. Would be amazing, I find the GTA third person hard to control sometimes, and as anyone who has it knows, Call of Duty 4 is just unbelievably good.

Who knows if Rockstar could pull it off though, they might have to join up with activision and infinity ward.

ya its a bit dark.. but u can adjust the brightness in the pause menu under 'visuals' or something - i've only played bout an hour or so so far, so i can't really judge how good it is yet.. :)

ps. i couldn't wait for my US copy to arrive so i went to EB yesterday and "rented it" ;) LOL

Haha, that's the way to go man, I've done that quite a few times. Free renting Woo!

I am about 15% through it now.... But the best part - multiplayer is fucking awesome! You all pile into the same cars, copters etc etc and cause havoc.

My favourite move is making 5 people hop in my chopper and then going as high as I can, then I bail out and fall to my death while they all fall out of the sky :p

GTAIV officially the coolest game ever...although i keep getting told off by the GF for spending more time playing the game, than i do with her. I agree that the colours are a bit wack, but once u have a play with the constrast and brightness it looks rather tidy. I get the feeling i wont be doing much else for the next couple of months. At least the 7yr wait was worthwhile!

Played it for a good 2hours. Its great. Again colour and brightness can be changed in the pause menu and it looks GREAT when you punch it up. I stole myself a dodge viper and started practicing drifting. Was in the strip club for a good 10mins hahaha wanted to see if it go cut or not. I'm now currently trying to find the army base and steal a tank if there is one in the game. I've started a war in the game atm. FBI are looking for me :eek: :eek: :eek:

Cant seem to get army yet and i'm almost dead lol!

my progression seems to be laggin along but its a pretty sweet game.. just don't have enough time for it atm - whats become of meeee :D lol

theres only meant to be 2 endings aren't there? - so ur pretty satisfied with the game frogman? been playin multiplayer at all?

Yeah I'm actually a little disappointed with it... the story is excellent but slow at times, the graphics and physics are awesome but this game has nothing on San Andreas.

I miss planes and going cross country...

Keeping weapons when you die is good too...

I heard there were 4 endings...

My favourite part is when you finally meet the guy you are looking for... like a lot of "planned" murders in the game u get a choice... I made the gory one...
