I remember i got my first ride at the age of 20. It is a air-con-less Mitsubishi Mirage. It might be a slow little car, but it serves me well for 5 good yrs before i got influenced by my friends (they all upgraded from cars like lancer, hyundai to WRX, 180SX) I was on my first job after Uni before i can't stop the urge to change into a performance car. Hence, then come with my 97' Nissan Silvia S14a. Love it to bits. Spent so much effort to transform it to my liking. Had it for 2.5 yrs before having to give it up due to fuel prices & the fact that i will be settling down.

So, what's the story with you guys?

Here's some pic of my 2 rides:

Nice 200 mate!

From start to finish, over the past 10 years, I have had:

- 1972 Morris Marina - 1.75 carby petrol 4cyl 3 spd automatic. Beige on colour, very slow, awful suspension, but in immaculate condition. Got it given to me by my Dad to drive around while I had my P plates.

- 1995 Nissan Micra LX. 1.3L twin cam 5spd manual. Modified it a little bit.

- 1998 Nissan 200sx S14a pearl white (limited model), 2.0turbo 5spd manual. Loved this car, gear ratios were a bit tall for traffic light kind of fast take offs, but this car really showed its true colours above 80kmh, it just kept pulling and pulling through the high speeds, so aerodynamic and streamlined. Insurance and some expenses were starting to annoy me at the time.

- 1995 Nissan Micra LX, number 2. Modified this one a reasonable amount once again.. But nothing ridiculous..

- 1995 Nissan Micra Super S "Blue Monster". Spent a truckload of cash turning this thing into a total weapon. Faster than most things I would ever pull up next to on the road, and also out handle most things aswell. http://www.micra.com.au/blue-monster.php This car ended up costing me way too much money and time, and was extremely not practical to own. Everything was a hassle :( Sad because it drove like an absolute killer by the time I had finished the project. It was a beautiful car really.

- 2000 AUII Fairmont. Got this as like an injection of reliability and smooth simple car that I could easily buy parts for after being so scared by the blue monster micra, plus it was also a bit of a practical car for my partner and I at the time. Soon got sick of this car being such a large boat and my true passion for small, fast cars came back less than 1 year later.

I started to notice lots of cool newer small turbo cars coming out and absolutely loved the RColt. Toyed with the idea for a while, then took the leap and love it. I'll keep this car for quite a while now. Its like a perfect example of how I think a car should be designed. Suits my brain and the way my head thinks perfectly.

- 2006 Gun metal mica Colt Ralliart. Here I am!

Great list of cars there. Actually, since you got yourself a Falcon as daily during that time, why don't you keep the Micra as a weekender? My real regret about my S14a, is not able to keep her and get a daily at the same time. (not rich enough) She will be on the top of my heart forever :(

WORD about the RColt. A well blend of practicality and performance. Hopefully, we can make it big.

Yeah spot on mate. You summed it up perfectly.

The micras are already sold, and the Fairmont is up for sale right now..

But yeah, as you said, the Colt has a perfect blend between practicality and performance. I think it does both really well. Suits me, hence I think I only need the single car now..

But yeah having a mix of daily driver and perfect weekend car is fun :)
