So are we going to get TMR with their own section on here any time soon?? Someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows them, should let 'em know that there are plenty of people here who are interested in keeping their warranty but would like upgrades.
The only thing that has put me off modding my car other than cash flow is the warranty issues, why would i throw away a 10 year drive train warranty?!?!
Plus you gotta think that TMR are gonna be pretty good at getting the balance of handling vs power just right!

Tmr know of our exsistence, ive talked to alan, and McCoy is in regular contact with them, they "were" meant to have an edit for the colt ready about 3 months ago, but no doubt the evo's and tmr 380 have first priority...

haha yeah i was just kidding man, you can't help it if you actually do know someone who is well known!! thanks for keeping this stuff moving, really can't wait to see what they offer up to us. hopefully they don't put a massive premium on it cause they are the only option if you want to keep the warranty...
mccoy, you are a sly one for keeping this from us for so long... same with you eatevo!!
i bet eatevo was just planning to show up randomly to a meet up and nonchalantly blow by the stock colts on the track :D

only thing is that i am a REALLY bad driver... so i would have to get a stand in... although my weight advantage might help me :D
i might be 195cm, but i only weight about 68kg!!!
ppl talking about saving 4-5 kg with a carbon fibre bonnet, i say go on a friggin diet!!
:D
yeah when you finally end up with your bastardized colt and mine is TMRed we should def go down to the track!! would be awesome, you will def have a massive advantage with the short shifter though...

well I aint no Lewis Hamilton myself.........
Mind you I thrashed the pants off a bunch of 12 year olds on the go-cart track at Adventure World about a month ago muhahaha, even lapped one kid who looked about 10 or 11 years old, gave him a big cheesy grin as I rolled past him at about 30kms an hour :D thought he was going to cry :p ... Lame I know but my competative edge gets the better of me sometimes!

No..I wouldn't do that! If the Melbourne guys wanna have a look at the car and figure out for youself (can't tell you what's been done, but ppl who knows turbo cars should be able to pick it up) what Alan has done to it, you're more than welcome to when I pick it up. Waiting for McCoy to get the car to Alan at TMR to get it fitted and corner weighted (hint hint). Alan is quite busy with other stuff so hopefully everything will be ready by 26/03 if not earlier.
First impression from the first test drives reveals it to be firmer, but not hard suspension, lesser body roll than std (std is already stiffer than EVO9). Smile everytime I put my foot on the accelerator, even in 5th gear. Not a lot more power but you can defintely feel it, hence smiles. Speed sensation seems to come on faster (the torque). The side scenery goes by quite fast, look down, I'm doing 130km on 80 zone. This car feels so EVO like (can't compare to 4WD w/ ACD & AYC) but feels very similar in road feed back through handling and vehicle dynamics. Can't wait for TMR to get the Ralliart LSD.
hahaha dammit we'll have to have another meet in melb when you get your car
im gonna take a guess
when i bought my car there was a name droped "alan" and something bout a 130kw remap....i could be way off, this was mid way through last yr
only prob was how it was goin to cope with power increase
so my guess...remap...panel filter...they wouldnt be changing piping i dont recon, so supension work and remap
am i close? :)
anyway i wonna see it...so we try a melb meetup seeing that we actually got some melb colt members now...i was feeling pretty left out when i first joined lol

sounds about right to me :)
*fingers crossed* its a 17kw gain from a simple remap :D

Lets just say "fuel economy hasn't changed" ;)
it isnt a very big increase mate
but depends were its goin to start making the power and whats gon to happen to the torque, would be just some better delivery of power
cause if you do want to make seriouse power you gotta open everything up and boost(to the motors limits) all bout air, fuel, boost on the turbo
eatevo are you reading my mind lol

Did you guys know that to past ADR emissions test is done under 3000rpm and not above. (hint)

hahaha you and your word games
so looks like the torque has shifted to lower revs to reduce turbo lag :)

What would be the opposite of that?

You can be the first to drive my car buddy.
Not that your guess is correct. I'll let you make up your own opinion after driving it.

Ermm, as for TMR being here on the site, I doubt it will happen. Yes, steve is right, I do keep in regular contact with Alan, probably at least once a week, and yes, I have kept alot of what he is doing off the forums as per his request.
The car that eatevo has driven is a dev car, and pretty much the upgrades that have been tested are ready to be trialled in a customers car for reliability testing, which if anything is a formality. As far as letting cats out of bags etc... Sorry guys, but I will not be doing that until I get an okay from Alan which should be very soon.
The good part will be that there are a few performance upgrades available for your R-colt that WONT void your warranty in any way. You'll just have to stayed tuned.
As for a special TMR section of the forum, I'd have to speak both to Ryan, and to Alan at TMR and see if he doesnt mind acting on his behalf.

Sounds to me that TMR have been tinkering with the colt to hold higher boost levels after the mivec changeover, rather than boost being limited to below 4000rpm. Consequently, you will still have normal boost levels at low RPM, thus retaining the stock vehicles economy - maybe the actuator has been modified along with a re-map - am I close??????:D

keyse boy eh? im always down that way...good to see some colts in the south east

If you see a black EVO8, that's me. Say hello. I'll look out for a Red RColt. Haven't seen any in the local area.

No, and there is no point guessing at this stage.
