Thinking about suspension.

If i only change springs (tein or tanabe) will it still have the good handling? I'm a poor man now lol so getting coilovers is a long way away. Just wondering if the standard shocks can handle performance springs?

All i really want is good handling and a nice sexc lowered car with some nice 17's. Can japanese springs give me that or do i really need to go the whole nine yards?

springs are ok but coilovers are far better. the car will sit much flatter with the springs though

Changing the spring only will wear out your factory shock quicker. You end up having a car with great look but no corner.

save some money and get a proper setup. You will end up wasting more money on installation if you change the spring only. The spring you buy cannot be used in the future if you opt for coilover later.

Buy springs and suitable dampers at the same time. Do some research to find the right rebound/damping rates and your suspension will work every bit as well as a coillover. It just wont have the adjustability.

Got to agree with with Piggy. Changing to lower, presumable stiffer, springs without considering the shocks is likely to have a detrimental effect on the fantastic handling our cars enjoy. There have been a couple of comprehensive, technical posts regarding this topic on the forum - do a search.
